St.
Mary's Missionary Baptist Church in Winnabow, NC
had Gospel Comedian LaSalle
LaSalle to entertain for their Black History Program
held on February
24, 2008. LaSalle
opened the floor for people to talk about their deceased family members.
So many sweet and touching comments
were said, some people had pictures. LaSalle showed pictures and talked
about
his late father (LaSalle
Hankins), his grandmother (Madglene Hickman) and Etha Mae
Herring who could
sing you happy.
The
program shifted when this young
man asked his mother to stand with him as he praised
and honored her his style. What shocked the church
and made us stand, LaSalle honored his mother who had
14 children
by giving her 14 suits. I was touched as many were also, to witness a
young man giving to his
mother. LaSalle had his mother to change from one black & white suit
into another black & white
suit. Let me say this, he changed 4 times himself! He is a breath of fresh
air. I laughed and laughed so
much! All need to hear what this Preacher and Christian Comedian has to
say.
LaSalle
put the icing on the cake by giving gifts to the 5 mothers with the most children
and 5 oldest ladies. He
thanked the lady (Ms. Alorda) who invited him, by giving her a suit.
His
sister, Minister Sharonda Davis
was there, he thanked her for doing so much for their mother, by giving
her a suit. I am so
glad I was there to hear, see and laugh as this Man of God shared the
Gift from God. He is the first
Christian Comedian I know to open with prayer before he made us laugh.
With
much love for LaSalle LaSalle,
